Who loves easy recipes that are done in no time?! I do! It’s a good idea to have several quick go-to recipes, like this 15-minute spaghetti. Perfect for when you’re super hungry and don’t feel like cooking.

I’m a big fan of quick and simple recipes. Sometimes I’m just too tired or too lazy or too hungry to cook for an hour or more. If you don’t have recipes like this one to whip up in a matter of minutes in can be way too easy to choose unhealthy options like takeout.

I’m especially realizing the importance of quick and easy recipes now that my schoolwork is starting to pile up. Instead of going to the store on campus and buying junky food or ordering takeout, I try to always have ingredients for a few quick recipes on hand so I can have a nutritious meal in no time! This week I’ve got this spaghetti, ingredients for DIY Instant Ramen, and ingredients for berry smoothies. Lots of deliciousness in 15 minutes or less πŸ™‚

This spaghetti is just a few ingredients, barely any prep time, and 10 minutes of cook time. Perfection! Not to mention it’s super delicious. The garlic and herbs add a ton of fresh flavour and the fresh lemon juice brightens it up. So yummy.I love this pasta! I can have a delicious dinner on the table in 15 minutes! | The Refreshanista

Quick & Delicious 15 Minute Garlic Herb Spaghetti

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Yield: 4-6

Ingredients

  • 1 box of whole wheat spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • 5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • handful of fresh parsley, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped basil
  • sea salt
  • freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. You can chop your herbs and garlic while you wait.
  2. Drain spaghetti and set aside.
  3. In a large pan, heat 1/4 cup of the olive oil at medium heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring frequently, for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Add lemon juice, parsley, and basil and stir.
  4. Add your spaghetti and the remaining 1/4 cup of olive oil. Toss to coat evenly. Season generously with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper.
  5. Serve while it's hot.
