Review: Desert Essence Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner

I've finally found the perfect NATURAL shampoo for dry, frizzy hair! | The Refreshanista

If you’re looking for a great, natural shampoo and conditioner that will give moisture and shine without weighing down your hair- you’re in the right place! I picked up the Desert Essence Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner kind of on a whim while I was in the grocery store, I had been meaning to find good natural hair care products especially since I’m pregnant, I don’t like the thought of all those chemicals in typical hair care! And I love coconut, plus the price was lower than I expected, so I thought what the heck, may as well try it!

Well I am so glad I did! I was genuinely surprised by how much I liked this shampoo and conditioner. I have found in past experiments with natural hair care that it’s either not hydrating enough and I get a major case of the frizzies, or it’s too heavy and makes me hair feel weighed down and greasy. This coconut shampoo and conditioner did neither of those things! Instead, I ended up with shiny, healthy-feeling hair 🙂

The products contain coconut oil, olive oil, and jojoba oil. And they don’t contain Parabens, Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfates, Phthalates, Artificial Colours, Silicones, EDTA, Glycol or Petroleum-based Ingredients, or Phosphates and they don’t test on animals.

Not to mention I loooove the scent. It’s coconutty without being too strong or chemical-smelling. I like that I can still smell it on my hair after it has dried, something I don’t usually get with other natural shampoo and conditioners.

If you’ve got dry hair, I absolutely recommend Desert Essence Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner, it’s been working wonders for my thick, wavy hair! Note that this is NOT a sponsored post, I just truly enjoy these hair care products 🙂
