5-Ingredient Blueberry-Hazelnut Dark Chocolate Bark

This bark is decadent, yet super healthy! Only 5 ingredients and super easy to make. | The Refreshanista

Raise your hand if you love chocolate!!! I’m raising both hands 😉 Chocolate is the perfect treat and making your own is even tastier! I’m sure you’ve heard that dark chocolate is healthy for you, from the high cocoa content. This recipe uses cacao powder for maximum health benefits, combined with coconut oil for smoothness plus even more health benefits! I added blueberries and hazelnuts for a bit of sweet tartness and warm toastiness, it’s a really great flavour combination- especially as a dark chocolate bark.

I don’t know if it’s the high sugar content or the mild flavour, but milk chocolate candy bars make it sooo easy to overdo it. Dark chocolate though, is very rich and a few pieces is enough to satisfy that chocolate craving. So treat yo’self with some dark chocolate 😉 it’s healthy after all!

Even if you don’t like dark chocolate, I bet you will love this bark. My husband loves everything as sugary as possible and hates dark chocolate. He ended up eating ALL of this bark! He said it wasn’t bitter like other dark chocolate he has tried. I credit this to using maple syrup as the sweetener. It has a deep, sweet flavour that gives the chocolate a smooth taste rather than a bitter taste.

  1. Uh, YUM? Very cool idea, and excellent execution. Fresh blueberries seem like an amazing idea, and chocolate + hazelnuts is an eternal favourite of mine.

  2. Sooooo true when you said milk chocolate bars have high sugar content and mild flavour. Dark chocolate really helps portion control, and this dark chocolate blueberry hazelnut version looks perfect. <3 Thanks for sharing!

  3. Yum! This is interesting because I just added fresh raspberries to my 5 ingredient chocolate egg recipe and you added fresh blueberries! Same wavelength
